Video: Watch Top Gear Season 18 Episode 5 as Jeremy compares a Maserati vs a Benz C63 AMG

The BBC car series Top Gear is about half way through this year with Season 18 Episode 5.

In this episode Richard races a real rocketman (as in rocket-propelled ‘flying’ man) in a Skoda rally car. OK, so Richard doesn’t drive the Skoda but the rocketman does drop from a helicopter and actually flies…well…like a rocket.

The next part of Top Gear Season 18 Episode 5 is all about crazy fast cars as Jeremy tests the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale versus Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series. Which is the better car? You can find out by watching the entire episode below.

Matt Smith is the star featured on this weeks show and he takes the Reasonably Priced Car out for a spin around the Top Gear test track and of course there’s always the Stig.

2013 Ford Fusion exposed at the Chicago Auto Show

The 2013 Ford Fusion is a stunning car no matter what side you look at.

Think of it as a sort of hybrid design that’s half Aston Martin and half Jaguar.

As you may recall both  Aston Martin and Jaguar are two car companies that not too long ago belong to the Ford family of cars.

The new Ford Fusion will come in several different models including a plug-in Hybrid that’s bound to be popular is gas prices spike.

Check out this first look at the newest generation of Ford’s mid-sized family car from this year’s Chicago Auto Show.

More power and torque, better gas mileage and the same base price. What’s not to like?

Review: The 2012 Mazda2 is fun to drive as long as you don’t have to haul lots of people or stuff

Imagine taking a stroll with a hyperactive puppy; agile, lightweight, and ready to play. With a curb weight of just 2,306 lbs (manual transmission), the 2012 Mazda2 possesses just such a playful persona, and, according to Mazda, is the lightest vehicle among its competitors.

Energetic puppies can be tiring, however, and typically do not provide the inherent usefulness or utility of a more responsible, grown-up canine companion. Likewise, the Mazda2’s low curb weight and playful handling nature had a tendency, in our opinion, to overshadow a vehicle which seemed to lack a true semblance of “daily-driver” practicality.

The 2012 Toyota Prius C gets the highest MPG in the city in America of any vehicle on the road that does not have a plug.

At 53 city MPG the smallest of the new Prius line sips fuel to make the most of every gallon.

We recently had the chance to get to know the new Prius C to find out what makes it tick and just how it manages to get such high mileage in the city.

Review: The 2012 Fisker Karma is a stunning sedan that looks & drives like a car of the future

Bevery Hills, Calif.—The stunning new 2012 Fisker Karma low-slung sedan looks like a futuristic experimental car. Moreover, it’s a “green” gas/electric plug-in  model with a fairly long driving range.

I found the Karma to be a head-turner at a media preview of it on a variety of Los Angeles area roads. No wonder actor Leonardo DiCaprio bought one of the first ones, following the old Hollywood tradition of stars driving the most coveted cars.

The approximately $104,000 Karma feels solid as a rock and is beautifully assembled, inside and out, although the low front end can be damaged by moderately high curbs if a driver isn’t careful. And the standard eco-friendly dashboard material looks rather odd. (Leather is optional, and a Fisker Automotive spokesman say most order the car with it.)

In this newest episode James goes to Florida to drive and review the newest electric car: The Fisker Karma Plug-in Hybrid. He also drags an old Bentley with AC/DC ‘s Brian Johnson.

Does he like it and does he like the way the Fisker drives?

You can watch the complete review as well as the entire episode 4 below.

You’ll also get to watch Jeremy Clarkson as he test a Ferrari FF and a Bentley Continental GT V8, on ice about 30 miles away from the arctic circle.
